Grandma’s easy home remedies for diseases

Many a time when we are in a situation, wherein we are not able to quickly get medicines or help from a doctor, then in such times we need to rely on our old grandma’s easy home remedies for diseases. Though many of these remedies have not been studied for their scientific effectiveness, many of us still vouch for its effectiveness.

Today, let’s look at some of grandma’s easy home remedies for diseases.

Heart burn

One of the easiest ways to reduce heart burn is to chew a few almonds immediately. You can also chew a few basil leaves to control the acidity in your stomach. A glass of chilled milk will also help reduce your heart burn.

 High blood pressure

Some of the things that can control your high blood pressure are listed below

a) Take 1tbsp of fresh amla juice mixed with little honey every morning

b) Make a juice of fresh curry leaves (around 30 to 32 leaves) in water and add 1tsbp of lime juice to it. Have it every morning.

c) Have 1tsp of soaked fenugreek seeds with water every evening or night.

d) Have baked potatoes with the skin on it. They are very good for maintaining your pressure.

f) Consume fresh papaya, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

 Acidity

a) Have a banana daily.

b) Have coconut water 4 to 5 times a day

c) Drink a glass of fresh mint juice slowly after your meals.

d) You can always chew a few basil leaves after your food.

e) Fruits like watermelon, banana and cucumber should be consumed more frequently.

 Constipation

a) Mix ¼ tsp. of powdered jeera and black pepper in a glass of buttermilk and have it 3 times a day, for a couple of days .

b) Mix an equal quantity of carrot and spinach and have the juice before going to sleep

c) In case of severe constipation, figs dipped in water can be consumed in the morning.

d) Fruits like guava and oranges relieve constipation.

e) Water kept in a copper vessel the entire night, should be had the first thing in the morning.

 Cholesterol

a) Mix 10tsp of apple juice with 5tsp of apple cider vinegar and have this mixture once a day.

b) Take 2tsp of coriander seeds in a glass of water and boil it. Strain the mixture and have it 2-3 times a day.

c) Always have a small bowl of curd daily.

d) Have 2-3 garlic buds per day.

e) Most importantly, drinking at least 12 glasses of water will relieve you from many ailments.

 Gas

a) A boiled mixture of ajwain with water should be added to some pieces of pineapple. Let these pineapple pieces soak in the ajwain mixture the whole night. Next morning squeeze the pieces, remove the juice, strain this mixture and drink it. This will relieve gas.

b) One or two pieces of asafoetida should be dissolved in half a cup of water and taken.

c) Mix an equal quantity of jeera, black pepper and ginger and boil it in water. Drink it 3 times a day.

  Hiccups

a) Take a couple of pounded cardamom in a cup of water and add around 4-5 mint leaves and boil it. Have this mixture.

b) Suck crushed ice pieces or a small piece of ginger

c) Eat a spoon of peanut butter.

 Irritable bowel problem

a) Have ginger tea or eat raw ginger to reduce inflammation.

b) Soak 1 amla in water. After it becomes soft, crush it and have it with black salt.

c) Take 1tbsp of pomegranate seeds alongwith  black salt and eat it.

d) Have rock salt with warm water.

Worms

a) Make a mixture of 3gms of garlic for a litre of water, boil it and have it.

b) Have a bowl of fresh curd, mixed with half a spoon of mustard powder, every day for a week

c) Two tomatoes, black pepper and common salt, eaten on an empty stomach will kill the worms.

 Loose Motion

a) A glass of fresh coconut water with one tea spoon of cumin seeds powder.

b) Take raw papaya pieces, boil them in water and take this mixture for 2-3 days.

c) Pomegranate leaves juice (2 tsp) with a little sugar.

 Nausea

a) Include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Exclude oily and spicy fried foods.

b) Have a glass of fresh lime water with a little salt added to it

c) Have a cup of ginger tea every morning.

d) Have plain cooked rice water.

Toothache.

a) Grind some asafoetida and lemon juice and heat the solution. Dip a cotton ball in the solution and place it over the tooth cavity.

b) Apply clove oil over the affected tooth.

c) Chew some leaves of the guava tree.

d) Rub a piece of lime on the aching tooth.

e) Chew a raw onion every day. Chewing a raw onion for around 5 minutes is good to kill all the germs in your mouth.

f) Put 2-3 drops of vanilla extract on the aching tooth.
